Subject: Nonlinear Sounds at CCRMA
Message-Id: <aadc78f500021004cad7@[199.170.106.94]>

Sorry for the late notice. I'm behind.

This week at the CCRMA Hearing Seminar John Pierce, author of "The Science
of Musical Sound" (recently reprinted by Scientific American Library), will
be talking about the effects of nonlinearities on the sounds we hear.
Normally we think of nonlinearities as making sounds sound worse, but is
this always the case?

I don't have more details. But I do expect this to be a very informal
discussion with lots of sounds. Come hear more.

Who: John Pierce (Prof. at CCRMA)
What: Non-linearities and the sounds we hear
When: Thursday November 6 at 11AM
Where: CCRMA Library (Top Floor of the Knoll)

See you at CCRMA!
