[Sorry for the late notice....]
This week at the CCRMA Hearing Seminar we return to the subject of Harvey
Fletcher and his amazing research effort. Next month at the Washington DC
ASA meeting there is going to be a special session commerating Harvey
Fletcher's work and reviewing his contribution. Jont Allen has been
organizing it. I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to be there, but the
next best thing is to have the talks at Stanford! Jont spoke a few weeks
ago, now we get to hear John Pierce's recollections.
This week John Pierce will be reviewing and discussing Harvey Fletcher's
work on pitch. I'm sorry I don't have more details, I'll try to send a
followup message. I believe that John worked with Harvey and knew him
personally.
Who: John Pierce
What: Harvey Fletcher's work on Pitch
When: Thursday April 6 at 11AM
Where: CCRMA Library (Top Floor of the Knoll at Stanford)
See you at CCRMA

P.S. I do have a few biographical notes on John Pierce which you might
